This Los Angeles patient wanted to get rid of the static frown lines between her brows.  As you can see from the video,  she has two fine vertical creases which remain when her face is at rest.

She did not want to use Botox. So Belotero was recommended instead.

Los Angeles Belotero- Comparison To Other Hyaluronic Acid Fillers

Belotero is a  hyaluronic acid filler much like Juvederm and Restylane. However  a new type of technology is used to process it and create a different form of cross linkage among the molecules.  This makes it more elastic and lighter. Also, Belotero can be injected close to the surface where it will distribute evenly.

Other hyaluronic acid injection solutions  consist of tiny particles suspended in a clear medium.  When light passes through, it scatters, creating a bluish hue. This is called the Tyndall effect. So injecting Juvederm or Restylane close to the skin’s surface can result in a blue discoloration.  Doctors need to place these older fillers in deeper layers. However, this technique will not  get rid of fine lines.

The unique properties of Belotero allow it to be injected superficially. It can be used with precision to fill fine lines. Belotero is therefore considered to be part of the new generation of dermal fillers.

According to this patient, it took about a week to see the changes that she wanted.

This patient was very happy with her decision to have her frown lines filled with Belotero instead of targeting the issue through neuromuscular injections. Listen to her comments in this video.

Different Types of Belotero

There are three types of Belotero which each have different concentration levels of hyaluronic acid.

  1. Belotero Soft
  2. Belotero Balance (also called Belotero Basic)
  3. Belotero Intense

At the moment, Belotero Balance is available in the United States.
